“In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria” – Benjamin Franklin
While we do include professional consultation in our planning packages, which are all largely customized, we do offer all potential clients a complimentary 30 minute interview in order to get to know one another and discuss your specific needs. We also offer invaluable resources right here on the Tahoe Inspired website at no charge. From our venue search feature, Tahoe Connected (that should be a link), to our BLOG and more, our Website is in itself a complimentary resource for your initial planning needs.
“Everything” is too broad of a term. We can take care of as little or as much as you wish, but all of this will be spelled out in detail in your contract after our interview and review. We want to exceed your expectations and it is very important both Planner and Client understand and agree as to the extent of detail that will be covered by the Planner.
We will send you a Performance Agreement (contract) for your review and request an initial non-refundable deposit. The deposit and contract need to be returned by the due date on the contract in order to secure your date and our services and will spell out the rest of the payment terms and deadlines.
We are so glad you asked! This is one of the most important questions to ask when interviewing your wedding & event planner. The person you meet and click with should always be the person who is there day-of. After all, you clicked with your planner for a reason! We are proud to say that we will always provide the person with whom you met as your primary “day of” contact, too. Exceptions include acts of God or illness or death where the person contracted was unable to show and an equal substitute is provided to our clients (with notice). On rare occasions, if we are not available personally for your date and know this prior to your booking, we will let you know and allow you the opportunity to interview one of our associates who will be your day-of contact, and you will have full notice of this.
There is never one answer to this, as we cannot script life and all its contingencies, but the number one recommendation we have for all clients is that an inclement weather plan is paramount for all weddings and reception that have any outdoor element whatsoever. This means often adding some padding in the budget to allow for extra tenting and heating (yes, even in summer) or even allowing for the possibility of another location altogether. Our experience means we are prepared to show you all your options -including cost- to make the best decision for you and your event.
